About Mercy Sinclear
A life made to worship.
Music, worship and ministry for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Music was part of Mercy Sinclear’s life long before she imagined it would become her ministry. Born in December 1985 in Kwadaso, in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, to Rev. Dr. Nii Amoo Darku and the late Margaret Amoo-Darku, she grew up with four siblings, surrounded by songs at family devotions and church.
Yet singing was not a dream she pursued. Often reluctant to sing with her sisters, she had not recognised what her voice could become. In senior high school, a casual walk led her to join the choral choir. Her music instructor, Mr Willis Ampiaw, heard an ability she had not seen in herself. Although she chose to sing tenor, he encouraged her to perform a soprano piece — a turning point in discovering her voice.
During her university years, Mercy had the opportunity to sing backing vocals for Rev. Nii Okai. That experience opened her further to the ministry of music. In 2006, led by the Holy Spirit, she began a campus music ministry called Made to Worship. It became a place of growth, where she developed songs and a sound to serve the Church and the nations.
Over the years, her journey has included features with Rev. Nii Okai, Joe Mettle, Edwin Dadson, Team Eternity Ghana, MOG Music, Eric Jershurun, George Wilson, Pst. Kofi Karikari, David Osabutey, Dela Makafui, EM Praise Incorporated, Amma Sam and Princess Mimi, among others.
Her five recorded albums trace that continuing journey: KABOD (2017), Songs of Deliverance (2020), Freedom Project (2022), Deep Calleth (2026) and Reflections (2026). She has also authored two books, with a virtual launch planned for December.
Her service reaches beyond music. Mercy leads The Praying Family, a prayer network, and serves as Set-woman for Titus 2 Ministry, a women’s discipleship and mentoring ministry. Her official biography records 14 years of marriage to Rev Christian Sinclear, with their union blessed with biological and spiritual children.
Deep Calleth grows from a longing for more of God. Through worship, joy, gratitude and the faithfulness of God, it invites deeper devotion. Mercy’s desire is for the Body of Christ to be edified, equipped and encouraged, and for Jesus to be highly glorified in the lives of listeners.
